Ampthill and central Bedfordshire in photos

Anyone looking for the recent history of central Bedfordshire in photographs should look at the Ampthill Images site which has thousands of photographs from the archives of Bedford newspapers.  They concentrate on the period from 1930s to the late 1960s with a few earlier.
The photographs document how life was and, even for those who were there at the time, they evoke another world.  This is truly a treasure trove for the 'modern' historian - but do remember Copyright if you want to reproduce any photographs!

Hey,

This is a inquiry for the webmaster/admin here at bedfordshirehistory.blogspot.com.

May I use some of the information from this blog post above if I provide a backlink back to this website?

Thanks,
Jack

Thanks,
Peter
